The Middlebury College Summer Spanish School is pleased to announce a vacancy for a temporary Instructor of Spanish. The position is available during the summer 2018 session, located on Middlebury College campus in Vermont. Our unique 7-week program combines a cultural immersion environment with rigorous daily classroom instruction. This is an opportunity to join a community of learners, by actively engaging in teaching, dining, residing and recreating with students while reading, writing and speaking exclusively in Spanish. We are looking for a faculty member with the following characteristics: Experience teaching Spanish as a second language in the U.S. and experience teaching Spanish grammar, writing, culture, in levels 1 to 4.
In addition to the salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will be provided. This position is for summer 2018 (June 26-August 17).
The successful candidate should possess a PHD (ABD with strong credentials may also be considered), strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated success working as a member of an instructional team. A candidate with a creative, dynamic, and easy-going approach will be an excellent fit with the Spanish school.
