Instructor, Industrial Maintenance or Welding

Department: Manufacturing

Location: Manufacturing Technology Center

Reports To: Director, Advanced Manufacturing

Work Schedule: Note work shift can be 1st or 2nd shift. Hours will vary, 8:30am - 5pm; 5pm - 10pm, weekends (sat and sun) 8am - 5pm



Provides instructional training
related to the Integrated Systems Engineering Technology (ISET) program.

ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for providing instruction and preparing lesson plans based on established curriculum

    Delivers
    training related to the ISET program

  • Continually promotes students’ development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance
    Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related Engineering discipline
    • Significant related experience may substitute for education
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field or must have a Journeyman Card/License in the related field
  • Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
  • Ability to assess and grade the progress of students
  • Possess sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community

  • Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, other related engineering discipline or
  • Must have a minimum of five to fifteen years of experience in an appropriate area depending on educational level

    type. However, there may be some
    walking; standing; bending; carrying
    of light items such as papers, files,
    pamphlets, books, etc.;

    standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and
    conferences away from
    the worksite

Special Note: Pooled Position - This is a
Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $47.82/
hour.

If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure
