Radiologic Technology faculty are responsible for conducting assigned formal classroom teaching consistent with ASRT curriculum and ARRT content specifications. Faculty are also responsible for academic advising of students, clinical/laboratory instruction, cooperatively developing course outlines and clinical experiences to implement the curriculum design, evaluating student performance in lecture and clinical/laboratory courses, review and analysis of program data and outcomes, student learning outcomes, and retention in accordance with the University's policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
40%- Didactic and clinical/laboratory instruction
25%- Evaluate student performance in lecture and clinical courses. Record evaluations using mycourses and Trajecsys.
10%- Develop, implement, and conduct assessments on program and course student learning outcomes.
10%- Develop course outlines, clinical schedules and clinical experiences to implement the curriculum design and any tasks assigned by the Director of Radiologic Technology.
10%-Academic advising of students.
5%-Participate in program, divisional, and University committees and meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
2 years clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
2 years as a Radiologic Technologist
Experience working with students.
Certificates/Licenses:
Credentialed in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Unrestricted state license in Radiologic Technology for the state of Louisiana
