The English Department at University of Detroit Mercy seeks applicants for a one-year instructor position with an annual teaching load of eight courses over fall and winter semesters. Teaching assignments are primarily first-year writing (rhetoric and composition) courses with the option of teaching one introductory literature, film, professional writing, or creative writing class per semester. Physical Requirements
Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).

Commensurate with experience
Anticipated Schedule
Monday to Friday 8.30 AM to 5.00 PM.
