The Usha Kundu College of Health (UKCOH) Department of Social Work at UWF seeks a dynamic professional to join its cadre of faculty as an Instructor, with a start date of January 4, 2027. This is a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure-track position. The department offers both a Master in Social Work (MSW) that focuses on clinical practice in behavioral and health care settings and a generalist Bachelor in Social Work (BSW) degree, and the selected candidate will be expected to teach across the BSW and MSW curricula, with a primary emphasis on undergraduate courses.
Position duties include teaching courses across the social work curriculum (undergraduate and/or graduate courses) and serving as the co-director of the field office, with shared responsibility for overseeing field office processes and data collection to monitor the field office's impact on student learning across the social work curriculum (undergraduate and/or graduate courses). This candidate will also actively engage in curriculum development and department activities. The faculty member is expected to work with municipal and regional service organizations to cultivate field placement sites and provide meaningful service to the department, college, and the profession.
