Join Us in Transforming Healthcare Education

At Joyce University, technology should make teaching and learning easier, more connected, and more effective. As an Instructional Technologist, you’ll help make that happen.

You’ll be a key resource for faculty, academic leaders, and our Learning Design team—helping people navigate instructional technologies, troubleshoot issues, and find practical ways to use technology to support meaningful learning experiences. You’ll also work closely with our IT partner and internal teams to keep our learning systems running smoothly and ready for each new term.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, helping people, learning new technology, and making complicated things feel simple.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a go-to resource and first point of support for instructional technology questions and requests.
  • Provide friendly, responsive support to faculty, staff, and students using learning systems and instructional technologies.
  • Partner with academic leaders and the Learning Design team to integrate technology effectively into courses and curriculum.
  • Troubleshoot instructional technology issues, determine appropriate solutions, and coordinate with our IT partner or other teams when additional support is needed.
  • Help evaluate and recommend technology tools and resources that enhance teaching, learning, and the overall user experience.
  • Create and maintain practical technology guides and resources that help faculty, staff, and students confidently use learning systems and tools.
  • Support course and learning-system preparation, including migration activities and ensuring course shells are ready for faculty and students at the start of each term.
  • Assist the Learning Design team with projects, requests, and initiatives during peak periods.
  • Help verify that instructional technologies and related integrations are accurate, functional, and aligned with program and University needs.
  • Stay curious and current with emerging instructional technology trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Participate in team meetings, University events, and assigned committees.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What’s In It for You

At Joyce, we believe the employee experience matters. You’ll join a team that values Learning, Integrity, Excellence, Service, and Caring and works together to create an experience where people can do meaningful work and continue to grow.

We offer:

  • Self-directed PTO

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Employer-paid short- and long-term disability
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Professional development opportunities

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in instructional technology, educational technology, academic technology, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting technology users in an educational or higher education environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and instructional technology tools.
  • Experience with Campus Nexus and Microsoft Outlook/calendar management preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues into practical solutions.
  • Clear, approachable communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, especially when managing multiple requests and competing priorities.
  • A service mindset and genuine interest in helping others succeed.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and adapt as systems and needs evolve.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with faculty, academic leaders, Learning Design, IT, and other University partners.
