Position General Summary:
The Instructional Leader, Florida Scholars Academy plays a crucial role in providing leadership and support in the administration of a safe, inclusive, and academically enriching environment within the juvenile justice system. This position requires a dedicated and adaptable professional who is committed to fostering positive student development and promoting educational success. Under the direction of the Regional Director, Florida Scholars Academy, this position assists in managing the Florida Scholars Academy (FSA) and its human resources to attain school goals by providing evidence of effective instruction that results in student achievement, as recognized through defined learning gains and survey results. This position supports the instructional process with specific responsibility for managing assigned programs/services; providing information/serving as a resource to others; and supervising assigned staff. This position will also oversee the personal and professional growth activities of assigned staff. This position performs a variety of duties including but not limited to the scheduling, facilitating, and monitoring of the instructional program, building and maintaining culture and values among new and returning instructors via training and support, liaising with departments outside Instruction to support their program, observing and evaluating instructors, and reporting back to the Regional Director, Florida Scholars Academy.
