
Provide instruction to elementary students who demonstrate learning loss and/or executive function deficits that may be well addressed in an alternative educational setting. Utilize various behavioral strategies and alternative instructional practices to establish an environment and activities which nurture the development of student readiness skills while preparing students to return to their original placement with improved behavior, academic achievement and attendance.
Bachelor's degree in education or counseling is required with a Master's degree preferred. 5 years of classroom teaching experience with multiple age groups and a variety of students is preferred. Knowledge and experience in defining and measuring student behavior and principles of reinforcement, as well as an understanding in data collection, assessment strategies and curricular objectives is important. Must be well organized and maintain documentation with a willingness and desire to self-educate and maintain knowledge of best practices in education. Proven experience in working with students of various abilities with excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.

Clark-Pleasant Community School Corp. is a public school system serving grades pre-kindergarten through high school. We are made up of Clark and Pleasant townships. We have one high school, one middle school, six elementary schools, pre-K, and a secondary level alternative academy. We are located in Johnson County which is just south of Indianapolis, IN.
