Instructional Faculty - EnglishThis position offices in-person, on campusAn Instructional Faculty member in the English Department at Valor Christian High School demonstrates strong competency across English curricula and collaborates closely with the English team to design consistent assessments and deliver effective instruction. They prepare students to become Christ-centered leaders by integrating Biblical truth and Christian values into daily teaching. Faculty demonstrate a vibrant personal faith, love students well, and cultivate respectful, engaging classrooms that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation. They also mentor students spiritually, emotionally, and academically through Life Groups, prayer partnerships, and co-curricular opportunities, partnering with parents and colleagues to support holistic student growth and achievement.Valor Christian High School is a decidedly Christian, college preparatory school whose core values honor a biblical foundation.   • Understand the curriculum of a wide range of English courses (college preparatory, honors, AP, etc.)

RESULTSThe Instructional Faculty member in English will have successfully advanced students’ spiritual formation, college readiness, and cultural engagement by integrating Biblical truth with effective English instruction. Students will have experienced God’s love through daily interactions and grow confident in His purpose for their lives. They will have developed strong understanding of the subject of English and demonstrated college and career-ready competencies in communication, research, problem-solving, and discussion. The faculty member’s leadership will have fostered holistic student growth spiritually, academically, and personally within a Christ-centered learning environment.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline closely related to the subject(s) to be taught
  • Advanced Degree in an English-related area is preferred
  • Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding
  • Desire to teach and/or experience within Christian education
