About the Role

Join Queensland Rail's Training Design and Development team and play a key role in creating engaging, high-quality learning solutions that build capability across a complex operational environment. Supporting the design, development and continuous improvement of instructor-led, digital and blended learning programs, you will work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop training and assessment materials that meet organisational, regulatory and quality requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for an instructional design professional with strong technical expertise in the Articulate 360 suite to contribute to impactful learning outcomes across the business. You'll combine adult learning principles, digital content development and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver innovative, evidence-based learning solutions that support workforce capability, compliance and operational excellence.

Purpose That Counts – Some of the responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop engaging instructor-led, digital and blended learning solutions that support organisational capability, compliance and operational performance.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create high-quality training and assessment products that align with adult learning principles, regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve learning programs, ensuring content remains relevant, effective and responsive to business needs.
  • Support learning governance, content management and development processes, while contributing to cross-functional projects and the successful delivery of enterprise-wide learning initiatives.

People Who Count - What you can bring to the role:

  • Demonstrated experience in learning resource development, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and the development of engaging learning solutions across multiple delivery formats.
  • Strong technical capability in digital learning development, including hands-on experience using the Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Canva and Vyond to create interactive and effective eLearning content.
  • Proven ability to assess, evaluate and improve competency-based training programs, using data, research and stakeholder feedback to drive measurable learning outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, influence outcomes and build strong working relationships across a diverse organisation.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive learning design principles, with experience creating learning resources that meet WCAG requirements and support diverse learner needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, including scoping, planning, scheduling, quality assurance and delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve learning content development, media production and workflow efficiency while maintaining quality, accuracy and governance requirements.
