How you’ll make an impact

As an Instructional Designer, you will transform product knowledge and learning requirements into high-quality, engaging digital learning experiences. Using instructional design and adult learning principles, you will create content that drives knowledge retention, behaviour change, and product adoption.

Success in this role means learners can easily understand and apply what they’ve learned, leading to improved onboarding outcomes, stronger customer confidence, and scalable learning solutions. You will play a key role in enabling the business to deliver consistent, effective, and engaging learning experiences at scale, supporting growth and customer success.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop high-quality digital learning assets (e.g. eLearning modules, videos, simulations) that support product onboarding and drive measurable improvements in learner understanding and adoption
  • Build courses using tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, and similar platforms
  • Create reusable, scalable learning assets and templates to support efficient content development
  • Translate product and SME input (provided by Digital Learning Specialists) into clear, structured learning experiences
  • Apply instructional design principles, templates, and design standards to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences
  • Adapt content for different learner groups and use cases
  • Incorporate assessments, knowledge checks, and scenarios to reinforce learning outcomes
  • Optimise content based on learner feedback, engagement data, and performance insights to improve completion rates, knowledge retention, and learner experience
  • Collaborate with Digital Learning Specialists to refine and improve content, supporting knowledge sharing and capability development across the team
  • Support LMS administration activities (e.g. course uploads, updates, basic configuration) as part of a shared team responsibility
  • Contribute to the evolution of Dentally’s learning strategy with a digital-first mindset

What you’ll bring with you

  • Formal training or certification in instructional design, learning design, or education technology is desirable.
  • Experience in instructional design, learning design, or digital content development
  • Hands-on experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia)
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g. learning objectives, assessment design, knowledge checks, structured learning flows)
  • Ability to translate complex information into engaging, learner-friendly content
  • Creative and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on user experience
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Collaborative approach, working effectively with SMEs and stakeholders
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset in a fast-paced environment
