The Opportunity

The Learning Support & Development Intern role offers a hands-on opportunity to support course quality and academic technology initiatives within the Worldwide Campus. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and consistency of Canvas courses ahead of multiple term launches throughout the year.

The intern will gain practical experience working with industry-relevant tools such as Tableau Online, Power Automate, and Wrike, while developing skills in learning technologies, quality assurance, and process improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in instructional design, educational technology, or IT to build real-world experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is up to $17.00 per hour. The final offer will consider the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience, along with applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • 0–1 year of relevant experience in Information Technology or a related area

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Windows file management and standard computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
  • Ability to learn and utilize tools such as Tableau Online and Power Automate (RPA)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve inconsistencies
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research solutions independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HTML editing or web-based content management
  • Experience with coding language(s) such as JavaScript, VBA
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)
  • Exposure to task-tracking or workflow tools (e.g., Wrike)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
