Job Description

Immaculate Heart of Mary School, located in Towson, Maryland, is seeking a qualified candidate for a full‑time Pre-K Instructional Assistant position. The Instructional Assistant, Elementary School will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include tasks such as grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional help. This is a 10‑month role, and the hours are 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Essential Functions

• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Prepare age-appropriate materials.
• Help organize and prepare resources for students.
• Help in integrating technology to effectively create a 21st-century learning environments within the classroom (ISTE Standards).
• Collaborating with other teachers, staff, students, and parents to support student progress.
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.

• Participate in all required faculty meetings, retreats, school committees, and in-service learning.

Position Qualifications

• “90 hours certification preferred.
• Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
• Must be an active practicing Catholic.

Pay Range: $, 18.00 - $20.00, Hourly
