Instructional Assistant - GeneralResponsible for fundamental enrichment instruction in designated subject area and summary of student progress. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Occasional lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds
• Occasional bending, squatting, sitting, and kneeling
• Frequent standing
This is for an Instructional Assistant in a Kindergarten classroom.
Renaissance Elementary Magnet School has specialized programing different from many neighboring schools:
We are an EL Education School and strive to provide students with meaningful, cross content experiences in their learning created by teachers.
We have early release for students each Wednesday at 1:00pm.
As part of our Adventure Education program, Kindergarten EAs accompany their students on one overnight voyage each school year. These are supported and facilitated by our Adventure Education Coordinator, but require significant teacher and EA involvement. Please see our staff voyage agreements HERE

We operate on an extended school day: 8:15 - 4:15.
