Pay/Schedule

  • $24.00/hour minimum starting wage – depending on experience and qualifications
  • Monday – Friday: This is an onsite position

Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Instruction Sheet Specialist is responsible for proactively preparing instruction sheets as required for key accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness in the assembly process at the store level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates instruction sheets using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
  • Acquires artwork from customer and/or Pre-press Technicians and makes required modifications to artwork to prepare it for use in instruction sheets.
  • Reviews artwork, structural designs, and layout in order to make recommendations that will enhance the Company’s ability to produce a particular product.
  • Interfaces with Project Managers to prioritize and manage instruction sheet requirements.
  • Communicates with Sales and Management in the approval of instruction sheets for the timely availability of them to the assembly facility(s).
  • Identifies potential issues related to the assembly of a product at store level with the Design Team.
  • Utilizes available software tools to continually improve our instruction sheet process. Identifies potential areas for improvement.
  • Work with Team Lead on required instruction sheets and utilize appropriate tools to create the instruction sheets. This includes photography, graphic manipulation, technical/instructional writing and fabrication of samples.
  • Assists in the fabrication of mockups and samples for the use in instruction sheet photography and for store sets.
  • Identifying training opportunities to improve the instruction sheet process.
  • Participates in team meetings as required.
  • Develops process improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the product development and manufacturing process.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous job-related tasks as may be assigned from time-to-time by a Management Representative.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to five years of related work experience.
  • Design degree or technical school background is preferred.
  • A commitment to ethical business standards and personal integrity.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent skills working with graphics software (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop).
  • Previous experience with photography and retouching photos.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, and Excel spreadsheet applications).
  • Ability to use and interpret Internet/Intranet information.
