Job Description

Associate Professor of Philosophy Justin Clark will be leading this two-week interdisciplinary program on civil rights and conflict resolution in Irish History and Culture in partnership with the Institute of Study Abroad Ireland (ISAI) and faculty from other participating institutions. A series of lessons on topics ranging from social justice, to cultural identity and ethnicity, to war and immigration, will be interwoven with educational trips to historical landmarks and museums across Ireland. Additionally, opportunity for faculty-led reflection and discussion will be a key component of the interdisciplinary experience. The program takes place from June 21, 2025 to July 3, 2025. Students will stay at the ISIA campus in County Donegal on the Atlantic Coast, but will travel to other parts of Ireland. Expenses will be covered generously by the Alan "Mac" McCullough endowment, which supports Public Philosophy programming here at Hamilton.

Qualifications

This opportunity is open to all rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, with priority given to Juniors and Seniors.
