Overall Purpose and Objective of Position

As a Trade Assistant for the Downstream Coffee team at Louis Dreyfus Company, you will provide vital support to the Commercial team by managing day-to-day operations, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring seamless execution of transactions. This role requires strong organizational skills, data management and entry, reporting/analyzing and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The role will focus on Europe inc Russia

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Act as a coordination link between sales, trading, freight / execution teams, factories and customers to ensure timely and accurate execution of trades
  • Manage new customer onboarding (profile creation, compliance, credit checks), coordinating with sales teams to collect required documentation
  • Assist sales team with follow-up on sales, shipments, position reporting, sample requests, AR reporting, etc.
  • Assist sales teams with internal reporting, coordinate the preparation of weekly commercial call and ad‑hoc commercial analyses
  • Support accurate trade data entry and maintenance across systems (contracts in Atlas, allocations, CRM, sales planning file...) Help manage customer relationships and respond to inquiries as a support to the sales team

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales team and other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
  • Support organization of trade shows participation
  • Ad-hoc projects and day-to-day tasks to be assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • International logistics or trade
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Detail oriented with high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong English and Russian language skills required

Business trips will be requested, based on the ongoing projects and team needs
