Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Structural Inspector to join our team in Kuwait City, Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive structural inspections of port, terminal, and infrastructure facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and operational safety of our maritime infrastructure assets.

  • Conduct thorough structural inspections of port facilities, terminals, and related infrastructure using established methodologies and protocols
  • Assess the condition of structural components including steel structures, concrete elements, foundations, and support systems
  • Identify, document, and analyze structural defects, deterioration, and potential safety hazards
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans
  • Ensure all inspections comply with international standards, local regulations, and company policies
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and other specialized inspection techniques as required
  • Maintain organized records of all inspection activities, test results, and maintenance history
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, maintenance personnel, and contractors to address identified issues
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and verify compliance with recommendations
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging inspection technologies, and regulatory updates
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior inspection staff when applicable

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in structural inspection or structural engineering
  • Demonstrated expertise in inspecting port, terminal, or maritime infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of structural materials (steel, concrete, composite materials) and their behavior
  • Proficiency in inspection methodologies, testing protocols, and quality assurance procedures
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent documentation and technical report writing skills
  • Ability to analyze inspection data and identify structural issues accurately
  • Proficiency with inspection equipment and measurement tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques and certifications
  • Familiarity with port operations and maritime industry standards
  • Knowledge of international inspection standards (ISO, API, ASTM)
  • Proficiency with CAD software or specialized inspection management software
  • Previous experience working in Middle Eastern port or terminal environments
  • Experience with underwater or subsea structural inspection
  • Knowledge of corrosion assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Certification in structural inspection or related field
