Inspectors are responsible for determining the airworthiness of work assigned. Inspection personnel must be thoroughly familiar with all inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used in their specialty to determine the quality of airworthiness of articles or Aircraft being maintained.

What you will be responsible for:
· Carrying out all assigned duties on aircraft inspection, line operations and shop work necessary and required to maintain aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition in conformance to standards set forth in the FAR’s and manufacturers’ maintenance manuals.
· Inspecting all parts and materials purchased for use in maintaining, modifying and the configuration of aircraft and equipment to see that quality, allowable tolerance, etc., meet the specifications and standards as set by the facility and the applicable manufacturer.
· Recording all inspection data on forms, reports and inspection tags, and bringing to the attention of the Quality Director any irregularities in the standard practices used that could cause injury to personnel or make the aircraft unsafe.
· Performing the function of receiving inspector for those parts or materials routed for checking.
· Ensuring that all overhauls, checks and repairs are carried out in accordance with procedures as required in the applicable manuals and FAA regulations.
· Ensuring that approved data is used for repairs and rework on aircraft and components.
· Ensuring that a acceptable standard of workmanship is maintained and inform the Quality Director of faulty equipment and poor unsafe housekeeping areas.
· Signing or stamping the serviceable tag attached to all parts and units when they are declared serviceable by him and ensuring that the tag is properly made out.
· Signing the applicable paperwork prepared for units overhauled, repaired or functionally tested, and ensuring that the form is completed correctly.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you need to be successful:
· This position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual admitted as a refugee or granted asylum).
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Must possess a current and active FAA A&P License.
· Minimum of five (5) plus years heavy jet maintenance experience preferred.
· Previous aircraft inspection experience is a plus strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required.

· The environment characteristic for this position is an aircraft hangar setting. Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional business setting. Candidate must be able to work day or evening shifts, weekends and overtime.
