An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Inspector in the within the Bristol Facility.

What you will be doing:

  • Inspection of Nozzle Guide Vanes (NGVs) using Work Instructions, Technical Information & drawings and using the information to ensure that all Engine components are conforming to the specification.
  • The Skilled Inspector will work as part of the Inspection team to raise non-conformances, overcheck critical components and ensure the parts are correct to customer requirement.
  • Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments.
  • Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are machined to the correct technical and quality specifications.
  • Ensuring Health & safety is kept to a high standard, at all times.
  • Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice.
  • Work in collaboration with Quality & Engineering Functions daily to ensure parts and processes are of the highest standard.

  • You will have completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship, including City and Guilds NVQ 3 or equivalent.
  • You will be able to demonstrate Inspection experience.
  • You will be confident in interpreting engineering drawings for use with precision measuring equipment.
  • You will have knowledge of a wide range of inspection techniques.
  • You will demonstrate a professional and flexible attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • You will have an up-to-date working knowledge of health and safety.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
