Therefore, the work location will vary depending on the specific construction project assigned to the final candidates.)

The Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking Inspectors to join our Construction Management Unit in various boroughs.
The successful candidates will report to an Engineer-In-Charge and/or Resident Engineer and conduct technical inspections of construction, repair, and maintenance projects. These projects will involve roadways, sewers, pavements, and sidewalks. Specific responsibilities include assessing the grading, paving, and repaving of streets, connections to house sewers, retaining walls, and the maintenance of water, sewer, and utility manholes.
Applicants must be ACI Concrete Field -Testing and OSHA 10-hour Certified or take the first available DDC - offered training session.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil engineering and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and a Master's degree from an accredited college in civil engineering.
