Job Description

We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Inside Services Sales person to support our Sales team across service, special projects, and large project opportunities. This role ensures accurate execution of sales transactions, timely preparation of proposals and budgets, and clear communication among sales, project management, vendors, and customers. This individual plays a key role in protecting company and client interests while driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across sales processes.

Job Duties

Sales & Customer Support

  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential opportunities and initiating meaningful dialogue with leads.
  • Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales opportunities.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries generated by web traffic or phone solicitation.
  • Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership to develop new and different revenue sources, exploring opportunities to add value to sales transactions

Proposal & Project Coordination

  • Execute equipment and service transactions by interfacing with customers, obtaining vendor quotes, developing customer offers, and coordinating logistical details.
  • Create project budgets by obtaining quote information for all products and services required to successfully complete the project on a timely basis.
  • Formalizing project proposals by formatting, editing and ensuring proposals are neat, accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Project Operations Supervisor to accomplish project results by communicating and coordinating requirements.

Reporting & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and project data in Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • Track sales activity and update records to support forecasting and reporting
  • Prepare sales and activity reports for management, including trend summaries and analysis

Process Improvement & Market Awareness

  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, pricing, product developments, and delivery practices.
  • Recommend changes to products, services, policies, and sales processes based on performance data and market conditions.
  • Participate in the development and refinement of sales procedures, tools, systems, and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and implementing improved workflows.
  • Assist Vice President in developing sales procedures and policies.

Administrative & Professional Support

  • Create professional correspondence, proposals, and internal documents from draft materials or notes.
  • Ensure proper filing, retention, and confidentiality of customer, vendor, and company information.
  • Review new procedures, manuals, and system enhancements; provide feedback and revision recommendations.
  • Maintain job knowledge through training, professional publications, and industry engagement.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned to support business needs and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required, bachelor’s degree preferred.

2–4 years of experience in inside sales, sales administration, project coordination, or a related role.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with document management systems and proposal formatting.
