The inside sales support role supports the fire sales team with certain internal pre-sale and post-sale tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Duplicate previously sold apparatus specifications for new opportunities.
• Provide and monitor data input in the company’s CRM tool.
• Create, maintain, and produce reports for the sales department.
• Create and maintain internal policies and procedures for fire sales division.
• Develop broad and detailed product training modules.
• Monitor the on-time payment of fire-sales orders.
• Assist with fire-sales specific onboarding and product training.
• Provide how-to assistance with all OEM specification software.
• Support sales team for urgent requests regarding the support of a customer.
• Attending customer meetings to support sales representatives.
• Provide support in developing and maintaining relationships with sales team.
• Ability to travel as needed to factories and shows - 10%.
• Assist with additional sales-related tasks as requested.
Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• 4-year degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Business/Administration preferred
• Experience or Knowledge of Data Processing or database management.
• Experience or Knowledge of fire apparatus and/or the fire apparatus manufacturing industry required.
• Intermediate to advanced Skills in Excel required.
• Excellent Business English and communication skills
• Self-motivated, with an aptitude for customer satisfaction
• Detail oriented, organized and a strong multi-tasker
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Effective Problem-Solving Skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of competence with MS Office
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The position requires travel to trade shows, when assigned. The travel will include set-up and tear-down with other team members. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
