Primary Focus
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for supporting revenue growth and customer satisfaction through the effective management of sales inquiries, quoting activities, and coordination of cross‑functional support. This role serves as a central point of communication between customers and internal departments, ensuring accurate information flow, timely responses, and seamless execution of sales‑related tasks. The Inside Sales Specialist works closely with Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Regional Managers, Program Managers, and Field Technicians to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood, properly documented, and executed with precision. The position requires strong organizational capability, professional communication, and a high level of attention to detail to support Mission Critical Services (MCS) across the US and Canada.
Specific Accountabilities
Manage inbound and outbound customer inquiries with professionalism and urgency; ensure all requests are documented, qualified, and actioned within defined service levels.
Prepare accurate and timely quotes, proposals, and pricing packages; validate technical requirements, lead times, and procurement needs with internal stakeholders.
Support the full sales cycle by coordinating with Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Regional Managers, Program Managers, and Field Technicians to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and operationally feasible.
Maintain CRM accuracy through disciplined entry of customer interactions, opportunity updates, pipeline status, and follow‑up activities.
Collaborate with Procurement and Materials teams to confirm product availability, sourcing options, and delivery timelines for customer orders and project support.
Work closely with Engineering and Program Managers to ensure technical specifications, scope details, and project readiness requirements are properly captured and communicated.
Provide structured support to Regional Managers and field teams by coordinating order details, scheduling requirements, and customer communication.
Monitor quote aging, open opportunities, and customer follow‑ups to ensure timely progression through the sales cycle.
Track and support key sales metrics including quote‑to‑order conversion rates, opportunity progression, customer response times, and pipeline movement.
Identify upsell, cross‑sell, and aftermarket sales opportunities; support internal sales workflows and documentation requirements.
Ensure all customer communication is clear, professional, and aligned with Silent‑Aire standards; escalate issues when required to maintain service quality.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, communication challenges, and workflow inefficiencies; support solutions that enhance sales and operational performance.

Communication is both internal to the assigned work teams and external to the various suppliers and customer as required.
Regular interaction with leadership, field teams, and cross‑functional departments.
Working Conditions
Office environment (hybrid role past probation period)
Occasional travel to other local Silent-Aire locations and/or customer sites, that may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Applicable Post‑Secondary education in Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
2–5 years of related experience in sales within an industrial or manufacturing environment and a general understanding of the parts and services offered.
Strong understanding of sales policies, procedures, and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Strong judgment and decision‑making skills; ability to plan and develop strategies within areas of responsibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with internal teams and external customers.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to re‑adjust priorities daily and manage a fast‑paced workload.
Critical thinking skills to plan, synchronize, and execute complex undertakings involving multiple departments.
Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to coordinate and initiate tasks across diverse groups.
Full‑time 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
