About the role:

The Inside Sales Representative – Building Automation is a core member of the SI Buildings Inside Sales organization, responsible for driving profitable growth through transactional business, small project opportunities, product and digital portfolio growth, and structured outbound pipeline generation.

This role supports contractors, system integrators, and end-user customers through proactive remote engagement and owns opportunities within defined Inside Sales thresholds, working in close alignment with Area Sales, Service Operations, Solutions Sales, Product Management, and Digital & Software teams.

The Inside Sales Representative acts as a growth engine for Siemens SI Buildings by converting inbound demand, activating installed-base opportunities, and generating new pipeline aligned to SI B growth priorities.

What will you do?

• Own and manage Building Automation BAU opportunities within established Inside Sales commercial thresholds (e.g., controls add-ons, controller replacements, field device upgrades, software licenses, minor expansions, and standardized retrofits).
• Qualify, price, and close opportunities in accordance with SI Buildings commercial guidelines, margin expectations, and booking targets.
• Execute high-velocity sales cycles with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and customer experience.
• Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities to support forecast accuracy and order intake stability.
• Support system integrators and contractors with technically and commercially sound proposals aligned to Siemens standards.
• Actively promote the SI Buildings Building Automation portfolio, including: Controllers and field devices, Building Automation software and licenses, and Digital and cloud-enabled solutions.
• Execute product-focused sales motions, including: Cross-sell and upsell into the installed base, Upgrade and migration opportunities, and Standardized bundles and promotions.
• Support product and portfolio campaigns defined by SI B Product Management, Portfolio, and Marketing teams.
• Proactively generate new sales opportunities through structured outbound engagement (calls, emails, virtual meetings).
• Qualify inbound marketing and digital leads and convert them into active BAU opportunities.
• Support national and regional Inside Sales campaigns, including installed-base mining, product pushes, and digital growth initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with: Area Sales & Solutions Sales for account alignment and opportunity handoff; Service Operations to ensure executable and profitable outcomes; and Product, Portfolio, and Digital teams to support go-to-market execution.
• Maintain high-quality CRM data including opportunities, activities, and forecasts to support sales excellence and transparency.
• Adhere to Siemens sales compliance, ethical standards, and commercial governance.

What will you need to succeed?

• Over 2 years experience in Insides Sales in Building Automation, HVAC controls, smart buildings, or adjacent technical sales environments.
• Working knowledge of Building Automation architectures and SI Buildings customer segments (contractors, integrators, end users).
• Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities in a transactional, metrics-driven sales environment.
• Strong remote selling skills with confidence using phone, email, and virtual tools.
• High attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to execute within defined processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Prior Inside Sales experience within Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Buildings, or Automation portfolios.
• Experience supporting installed-base growth, portfolio campaigns, or lifecycle sales motions.
• CRM proficiency and comfort working in structured funnel management environments.
