Inside Sales Representative – Roofing & Construction

$40K–$45K Base + Uncapped Commission | Kansas City, MO

Shamrock Roofing & Construction is a family-owned roofing and construction company headquartered in Kansas City, serving homeowners since 1977. Over the past several years, we’ve expanded rapidly throughout the Midwest, with locations in Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative with a background in roofing sales or insurance claims to join our team. This role focuses on turning inbound and outbound opportunities into scheduled inspections and closed projects. What You’ll Do

• Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to generate roofing and exterior project opportunities
• Answer inbound calls from homeowners, qualify leads, and convert inquiries into scheduled inspections and sales opportunities
• Follow up on leads, estimates, and open opportunities to maximize close rates
• Guide homeowners through Shamrock’s roofing products, services, and the insurance claims process
• Identify customer needs and recommend the best roofing solutions
• Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals and key performance metrics
• Accurately document all customer interactions and sales activity in our CRM
• Coordinate with Roofing Project Managers to ensure a smooth handoff after the sale
• Maintain professional communication by phone, email, and text
• Stay current on company products, promotions, and industry knowledge
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $40,000–$45,000, depending on experience
• Uncapped commission on every closed sale
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days (effective the first of the following month)
• PTO accrual after 30 days
• 401(k) eligibility after six months
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch; Saturdays as needed
• All new hires are subject to a 90-day introductory period

Requirements

• 1–2 years of roofing sales experience OR 1–2 years of insurance adjuster experience (required)
• Working knowledge of residential roofing systems and the homeowner insurance claims process
• Residential (B2C) sales or customer-facing experience
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals
• Strong closing, objection-handling, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using CRM systems, Google Workspace, and basic spreadsheets
• Highly organized with strong time management and follow-up skills
• Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
