We are seeking a highly motivated and outgoing Inside Parts Sales Representative to join our Aftermarket team. This individual will be responsible for managing assigned customer accounts, preparing quotes, and ensuring timely delivery of parts. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where proactive communication and follow-up are critical to success.
This position will require occasional travel (less than 20%) to support customer relationships or site visits and will participate in a rotating on-call schedule with the rest of the team to ensure after-hours customer support is maintained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or aftermarket parts sales preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be outgoing and customer-focused.
Proven ability to follow up and follow through on orders and customer requests.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Experience with ERP and CRM systems a plus.
Basic technical/mechanical understanding of equipment and parts (preferred but not required).
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Ability to navigate and utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for order entry, quoting, inventory checks, and tracking shipments.
Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms to manage customer data, communication history, and sales pipeline activity.
Strong knowledge of quoting tools and processes, including the ability to generate and revise quotes based on part availability, pricing, and lead times.
Basic mechanical or technical aptitude to understand part catalogs, equipment BOMs (Bills of Materials), and service manuals to accurately identify and recommend the correct parts.
High accuracy in data entry related to quotes, purchase orders, and shipping details to ensure error-free transactions and timely fulfillment.
Understanding of inventory levels, lead times, and shipping methods to proactively manage delivery expectations and communicate effectively with customers.
Ability to communicate technical product information clearly and concisely to both customers and internal teams (engineering, procurement, warehouse, etc.).
