Job Description

Inside Sales Representative

Company Overview

Every intraoperative neuromonitoring case depends on a small, easily overlooked part of the setup: the physical connection between the patient and the monitoring system. If a needle, surface electrode, or stimulating probe fails, the signal fails with it. Rhythmlink International designs and manufactures the single-use devices that make that connection reliable. The company was founded in 2002 by neurodiagnostic technicians and engineers, and it still builds products around the clinician's workflow — serving IONM, EEG, EMG, epilepsy, and sleep customers, along with custom packaging, private-label, and contract manufacturing partners.

Headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, with its own manufacturing and assembly facility, Rhythmlink has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies eight times. Graham Partners, a private investment firm focused on technology-driven manufacturing, acquired the company in March 2023, and Paul Buckman — previously a senior leader at St. Jude Medical and LivaNova — became CEO in April 2024. Through that growth the culture has held: Rhythmlink has been named one of South Carolina's Best Places to Work for 14 consecutive years, and much of the team has been with the company for five years or more.

Rhythmlink is now expanding its footprint in the IONM service-provider channel — the companies that staff and bill surgical neuromonitoring cases. Regional Sales Managers cover the field. This Inside Sales Representative will be the first member of a dedicated inside team built specifically around service-provider partners, working alongside the Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, Clinical, and Operations.

Job Overview:

This is not a generalist inside sales seat. You will own and grow Rhythmlink's relationships with a defined, named list of IONM service-provider partners — companies who staff and bill surgical neuromonitoring cases. You'll manage existing partner accounts, identify expansion opportunities within each one, and bring new service-provider relationships into the fold, all from a virtual environment, working closely with our Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, Clinical, and Operations teams.

Because our buyer in this channel understands IONM clinically before they ever think commercially, this role is built for someone who already speaks that language: a former or current IONM clinician who wants to move into a relationship-management and revenue-owning seat, not someone learning the clinical side from scratch.

Products:

  • Guardian Needle™ and Guardian+ Needle™ — the first protected subdermal needles for intraoperative monitoring, designed to reduce accidental needle sticks and the risk of cross-contamination. Also available in Fixed Distance versions.
  • Subdermal Needle Electrodes — high-tensile-strength stainless steel, cleared for both recording and stimulating, offered in paired, single, and twisted configurations with customizable leadwire colors and lengths.
  • Disposable Stimulating Probes — stainless-steel probes with handles designed for specific procedures, plus the SlideShaft® adjustable-length stim probe from Neural Pathways®, which gives surgeons and IONM clinicians a custom length without stocking multiple discrete sizes.
  • SightSaver™ Evoked Potential Stimulator — an FDA-approved device for monitoring visual pathways during surgery to help prevent vision loss.
  • ET Tube Electrodes and Sticky Pad™ Surface Electrodes — two varieties of monitoring electrodes that fit most endotracheal tubes, and pre-gelled disposable surface electrodes formulated for specific functions.
  • Broader Neurodiagnostic Portfolio — FDA-cleared MR Conditional/CT electrodes and BrainHealth™ products for EEG in critical care, EMG needles and surface electrodes, and custom packaging, private-labeling, and contract manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

Non-Negotiable

  • Bachelor's degree.

Strongly Preferred

  • CNIM certification.
  • A clinical background in intraoperative neuromonitoring: e.g., experience as an IONM technologist, surgical neurophysiologist, or equivalent hands-on case experience.
  • Direct experience with or knowledge of IONM service providers
  • Some exposure to account management, upselling, or B2B sales

Technical / Hard Skills

  • Fluency in IONM clinical workflow — case coverage, staffing models, and how service providers operate and bill.
  • Comfortable translating clinical knowledge into a commercial conversation with non-clinical stakeholders (business, operations, procurement).
  • Willingness to learn Salesforce and standard sales/CRM tools; comfortable presenting technical information virtually.
  • Ability to interpret pricing models, quotes, and contract terms.

Behavioral / Soft Skills

  • Self-motivated and comfortable being the first person to define this role — there's no existing playbook to inherit.
  • Relationship-driven and consultative rather than transactional; this is a small, closed universe of named accounts, not a high-volume cold-calling seat.
  • Strong organization and follow-through managing a defined book of business remotely.
  • Resilient and comfortable with the reality that some accounts will move slowly — this is a relationship business, even conducted virtually.

Job Responsibilities

Partner Account Management

  • Own and grow relationships with Rhythmlink's existing IONM service-provider accounts — renewals, upsell, and cross-sell across each partner's book of business
  • Understand each partner's case volume, staffing model, and purchasing process well enough to have a credible clinical and commercial conversation with their decision-makers
  • Respond to inbound inquiries, technical questions, and quote/RFP requests from service-provider accounts

New Service-Provider Development

  • Identify and develop new service-provider relationships within the intraoperative neuromonitoring channel
  • Prepare and deliver virtual product overviews, technical conversations, and proposals tailored to how service providers actually buy and use our disposables

Pipeline, Forecasting & Market Intelligence

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and account records in Salesforce; forecast and track progress against quota
  • Monitor competitive activity and pricing pressure within the service-provider channel and feed that intelligence back to the team

Collaboration & Industry Engagement

  • Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers on account alignment, handoffs, and coverage where field and inside responsibilities intersect
  • Participate in training, webinars, and trade shows (virtual, with occasional in-person opportunities)

Compensation

  • Base Salary With Uncapped Variable Commission
  • Commission: monthly draw with quarterly true-up
  • Benefits: health, retirement, and standard corporate benefits; monthly internet and phone stipend

Location

  • Territory Parameters: Remote, US
