Based in Houston, TX, you’ll play a key role in supporting our sales team and customers by delivering both pre- and post-sales support, along with technical guidance for our industry-leading Rosemount Tank Gauging solutions This role offers the flexibility of remote work options while giving you the chance to collaborate, build relationships, and contribute to customer success.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Prequalify customer requests for quotation to ensure that a quote will meet the customers’ application and operational needs and explore opportunities for additional products or services
  • Prepare and send customer quotations that are on time, technically accurate, commercially verified, and offer the best all-around solution
  • Drive for On-Time Delivery shipment results
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer focus by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring quotes and orders are processed in a timely, efficient manner
  • Collaborate with the business unit, regional managers, field sales, and sales reps to understand customer requirements
  • Answer customer questions, both technical and commercial
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in our business system, and other tools as required
  • Provide product and application information to external and internal customers related to the quotes in progress
  • Communicate with manufacturing locations for queries regarding lead time, and specials
  • Attend meetings with customers and/or field sales and sales meetings
  • Have the ability to work collectively with a team and the adaptability to think strategically
  • Support Order Execution to ensure that purchase orders are commercially and technically clean and accurate, and to resolve any technical-related issues that occur during the order cycle
  • Proactively manage personal quote backlog(s) in accordance with the agreed procedures
  • Provide general support for Emerson’s Rosemount Tank Gauging sales office
  • Establish a business practice that allows routine follow-ups to occur on open sales orders to ensure transactions are complete
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending practical solutions
  • Conduct due diligence, legal, and commercial compliance approval process in collaboration with the Checkpoint Champion
  • Ensure that activities are carried out according to agreed departmental KPIs and Procedures
  • Attend technical and commercial training to maintain a high level of product and process knowledge, including new products
  • Adhere to company policies, including trade compliance, quality standards, ethics, and environmental health & safety
Who You Are:
You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems. You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography. You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization.
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position or in a commercial environment
  • Relevant knowledge of the industry
  • Good organizational skills
  • A good eye for detail
  • Exceptional communication skills via e-mail or phone to both internal and external customers
  • Time management is crucial to your success, as well as being adaptable to change
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft application tools such as Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business or Technical Degree
  • Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or Oracle experience is a plus
