The Role
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue by selling products or services remotely—primarily via phone, email, and virtual meetings. This role focuses on prospecting, qualifying leads, managing customer relationships, and closing deals without face‑to‑face interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and engage new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and social selling
Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on business needs, budget, and decision‑making authority
Present products or services virtually, clearly explaining value propositions and benefits
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through closing
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity in CRM systems
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets (revenue, quota, activity metrics)
Collaborate with marketing, account management, and customer success teams
Follow up with prospects to address questions, objections, and next steps
Stay up to date on product knowledge, pricing, competitors, and industry trends
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
3–5 years of combined experience in IT sales, inside sales, or technology‑focused sales roles (depending on seniority)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to handle objections and close deals remotely
Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Salesloft)
Results‑driven mindset with strong time management and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling technology, SaaS, or subscription‑based solutions
Cold calling and outbound prospecting experience
Familiarity with sales methodologies (MEDDICC, Salesforce Forecast, etc.)
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, metric‑driven environment
