The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, qualifying leads, and driving revenue through outbound and inbound sales activities. This role focuses on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and closing deals primarily via phone, email, and virtual meetings rather than face-to-face interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and qualify potential customers through outbound calls, emails, and social selling
Responding to inbound leads and convert them into sales opportunities
Conduct product demos and sales presentations via phone or video
Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to close for assigned accounts
Maintain accurate records of interactions and pipeline activity in CRM software
Meet or exceed individual sales targets and KPIs
Collaborate with marketing and account management teams to optimize lead conversion
Follow up on leads, trials, and proposals in a timely and professional manner
Sales Support & Conversion
Conduct initial needs assessments to determine prospect fit
Provide basic product/service information and pricing guidance
Schedule appointments, demos, or site visits for closing representatives
Convert qualified inbound traffic into booked opportunities or closed deals (where applicable)
Call Flow & Process Control
Follow call scripts and traffic-control procedures to ensure consistency
Maintain target response times, call handling metrics, and conversion rates
Monitor queue volume and prioritize urgent or high-value opportunities
Escalate high-priority or complex inquiries appropriately
CRM & Data Accuracy
Log all lead activity, call outcomes, and notes in the CRM system
Maintain accurate lead status updates and disposition codes
Support reporting on inbound traffic, conversion rates, and SLAs
Collaboration
Work closely with outside sales, operations, and marketing teams
Provide feedback on lead quality and traffic trends
Assist with process improvements to optimize inbound flow
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of sales, customer service, or inside sales experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls
Basic proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Requires standing for prolonged periods of time
Requires using hands to handle, control or lift objects
Requires being outside and exposed to environmental conditions
Requires being in construction environment
Exposure to reasonable noise levels
Requires remaining in the seated position for prolonged periods of time
Requires lifting up 40lb
Requires repetitive motion of hands
Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
