Job Description

Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring a Inside Sales Representative at 1631 Chalk Hill Road Dallas, TX 75212.

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for supporting the outside sales team by managing inbound inquiries, processing rental quotes, coordinating logistics, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal departments. The ISR will serve as a key point of contact for customers seeking equipment solutions, ensuring timely responses and excellent service while helping to grow revenue through efficient order processing and upselling opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, or web.
  • Qualify leads and identify appropriate equipment solutions based on customer needs.
  • Prepare and follow up on rental quotes and proposals in collaboration with the outside sales team.
  • Proactively engage with existing customers to extend rentals or offer additional services.
  • Ensure all customer communications reflect professionalism and product knowledge.
  • Enter orders into the rental system accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, service, and operations teams to ensure timely equipment delivery and pickup.
  • Monitor inventory availability and provide alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with repeat clients to ensure satisfaction and identify future rental opportunities.
  • Track customer interactions in CRM and keep detailed account records.
  • Support the national pricing structure by adhering to approved rate tiers and discount levels.
  • Work closely with outside sales reps to share customer insights and help close deals.
  • Partner with operations to resolve any service-related issues quickly.
  • Provide feedback to the sales manager regarding market trends, customer concerns, or equipment demand.
  • Generate regular sales reports, open quotes, and rental activity updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and credit procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment specifications and rental terms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and two to five years inside sales or customer service role, preferably in the equipment rental, construction or industrial services industry. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer Skills

Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software. Also, proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications and rental software platforms. Interact with customers via telephone, chat, e-mail, or face-to-face to assist with a variety of customer inquiries and issues.
