Bell Nursery is searching for an inside sales associate. This is a Full-Time year-round office position. The candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture or comparable experience. This position will be in the Bridgeton, NJ location.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Measures of Success:
• Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the customer
• Set and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership
• Conduct outbound calls to potential customers in the designated market
• Develop new business opportunities through lead generation and prospecting
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services
• Provide exceptional customer service and address any inquiries or concerns
• Responding to customer inquiries regarding company products and services
• Processing customer phone orders
• Checking availability of stock and shipping dates
• Quoting prices, filling orders to customer specifications and processing sales data via computer
• Assisting the outside sales team by preparing prices and sourcing products
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions in the CRM system.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
• Bachelor’s degree of ornamental horticulture or comparable experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ornamental plants.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of business processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with team members.
• High level of energy and sense of urgency; self-starter; strong and effective multi-tasker.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Sales experience.
• Strong typing skills.
• Strong accuracy and detail orientation.
• Bilingual—English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work full-time 5 to 6 days a week (with possibility of some weekends and/or holidays).
• Strong interpersonal, motivating, organizational, and follow through skills.

Bell Nursery plants are available exclusively at The Home Depot in the mid-Atlantic and Southern Ohio Valley. Plants are grown locally in company-owned greenhouses in Virginia, Maryland and Ohio, along with a network of 35 independent family farms on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Locally grown plants travel shorter distances, meaning plants are delivered fresh to Home Depot stores where our merchandising teams are on site to display and care for them.
