Job Description

Inside Sales & Business Development Representative – Legal Services

Location: Remote

Compensation: $55,000 Base + Commission

Our client is the legal services division of a well-established, tech-enabled B2B services company with more than 20 years of operating history. The division provides an AI-assisted, human-verified alternative to traditional court reporting — delivering deposition transcripts far faster than the industry standard, backed by proprietary technology and real human oversight on every proceeding. It serves litigation and employment attorneys across a growing list of states, and is backed by a financially stable, well-funded parent organization rather than operating as a standalone startup.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly organized, motivated, and relationship-oriented Inside Sales & Business Development Representative to help drive our national growth strategy. This role is the operational engine behind our sales and marketing efforts — combining prospect research, CRM management, chapter intelligence gathering, and outbound outreach with direct client engagement.

You'll step into a documented, repeatable growth playbook — warm audiences, active referral sources, and live campaigns already in motion — with real room to grow as our sales function scales.

What You'll Do

Sales Development & Prospecting

  • Conduct outbound phone calls to attorneys, law firms, and legal organizations
  • Articulate our solution's value and differentiation
  • Identify qualified prospects and sales opportunities
  • Schedule discovery calls, demonstrations, and strategic meetings for sales leadership
  • Follow up with leads generated through presentations, referrals, conferences, and marketing campaigns
  • Support program recruitment and onboarding efforts
  • Maintain consistent outreach cadence to prospects and existing relationships

CRM Management & Pipeline Support

  • Maintain accurate and complete records within HubSpot
  • Track all prospect, client, and referral activity
  • Manage contact databases and account information
  • Monitor sales pipeline activity and identify opportunities requiring follow-up
  • Generate reports and dashboards related to outreach, meetings, demos, and conversions
  • Ensure CRM hygiene and data accuracy

Market Research & Intelligence Gathering

  • Research relevant industry association chapters, leadership teams, board members, and key influencers
  • Identify high-value law firms and strategic accounts
  • Develop chapter intelligence reports and prospect profiles
  • Conduct LinkedIn research and relationship mapping
  • Track industry events, CLE opportunities, and speaking engagements
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends

Relationship Mapping & Champion Development

  • Identify and document referral sources, champions, and influential attorneys
  • Maintain champion and referral databases
  • Track relationships between chapter leaders, firms, and key influencers
  • Support the development of attorney advocates and referral partners
  • Assist with post-event follow-up and relationship-nurturing campaigns

Event & Meeting Coordination

  • Coordinate scheduling for presentations, demonstrations, and strategic meetings
  • Prepare briefing materials and research packets for sales leadership
  • Support webinar, CLE, and conference logistics
  • Assist with attendee tracking and post-event follow-up campaigns
  • Coordinate outreach surrounding chapter events and sponsorship opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • Strong verbal communication and phone skills
  • Comfortable making outbound sales and appointment-setting calls
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Strong internet and LinkedIn research skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Professional written communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Inside sales, business development, or appointment-setting experience
  • Legal industry experience
  • CRM administration experience
  • Event coordination experience
  • Marketing automation or email campaign experience

Compensation & Benefits

  • $55,000 base salary plus commission
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage effective the first of the month after 30 days (full-time employees)
  • 401(k) with company match after 6 months of service
  • Paid time off, sick time, and company holidays

Location

This is a fully remote position, with minimal travel expected.
