The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for supporting the Regional Business Development team with existing clients and prospects and supporting all steps of the Sales cycle including quoting, presentation on products and services, marketing support, maintaining Sales Pipeline and managing Tender process.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who is organized, methodical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders.​

Responsibilities:

  • Manages sales presentation about the company and its products and services, with support from the BD Managers and/or GM.
  • Engages with Clients and tracks progress. Supports their requests and liaises with Applications and BD team.
  • Provides Clients proactively with updates on products and pricing.
  • Is responsible for coordinating, developing, and tracking all bid, tender, and proposal activities in APAC ensuring all requirements, deadlines, and formats are met.​ This role focuses on creating high-quality proposal content and reusable templates, managing cross-functional inputs, and ensuring timely, accurate responses to RFPs and other customer requests.​
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, project management, finance, legal, operations) to gather technical, commercial, and project information required for bids and proposals.​
  • Interacts with:
    • the Applications team to prepare size models and provide technical support, as requested by the Client.
    • the Financial Analysist team to prepare project offers and supporting information.
  • Coordinate internal reviews and approvals, ensuring all stakeholders have visibility of timelines and responsibilities.​
  • Provide timely follow-up to internal and external stakeholders on outstanding information, clarifications, and submission status.​
  • Draft, format, and assemble proposal documents, RFP responses, and supporting materials that are clear, consistent, and aligned with brand and compliance standards.​
  • Develop, own, and continuously improve proposal templates, standard content, and document libraries that can be reused across opportunities.​
  • Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives related to bidding, proposal development, and sales operations, and support preparation of customer-facing materials for events or presentations as needed.​
  • Track and maintain an organized register of all tenders, proposals, and RFPs, including status, deadlines, deliverables, and outcomes.​
  • Support Regional Business Development Manager to:
    • fulfill sales objectives and inputs to Management presentations, including win/loss analysis, pipeline visibility, and continuous improvement actions.​
    • create and track quotes within CSI CRM tools
    • update Sales Pipeline tracker and management presentations
    • provide feedback / inputs to Sales strategy.
  • Qualifies new prospects and supports the Client set-up process (NDA, ABAC process).
  • Assists Sales and Marketing in exhibition/trade show preparation and attendance.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in bid coordination, proposal development, sales support, project coordination, or a similar client-facing support role, ideally in a B2B or technical environment.​
  • Experience in Solar or BESS Industry a plus but not required.
  • Excellent customer service, and Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical and commercial inputs into clear, professional proposal content.​
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.​
  • Proficient in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM software) is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, concisely and professionally.
  • Results oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business with evolving processes.
  • Highly organized and methodical, with strong attention to detail, document control, and deadline management.​
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent bids or projects, and to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to travel occasionally and attend a trade show (2 days) once a year.

About Canadian Solar EMEA GmbH in Munich

In 2009, Canadian Solar EMEA GmbH was founded and comprises currently of more than 50 employees from 18 different nations. Highly skilled experts represent our team and we are confident to serve our customers. We are a sales organization and can support our sales team from the Munich office within the fields of technical, legal, accounting, marketing, logistics and order fulfillment matters.

Within the EMEA region, we are distinguishing between three different business lines: modules sales, digital solutions and energy business . The first two teams lead from the Munich office, are responsible for the modules sales and digital solutions are finally reporting to CCO Yan Zhuang, responsible for the global sales within Canadian Solar.
