Who You Are

The Inside Sales and Support Specialist will be responsible for providing support to District Managers (DM) and coordination between customers/integrators, sales, and execution. This position focuses on increasing General Industry (GI) bookings and profit growth, and driving a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented, creative thinker, with solid communications skills and a desire to learn. Someone with proven experience navigating in a fast-paced environment, interfacing with customers, possessing a strong attention to detail, and communicating with engineering and sales professionals.

How It’s Done

• Assist with DM activities as directed, chiefly: review and clarify Requests For Quote (RFQs) for robots, generate and revise Configure/Price/Quote (CPQ) proposals, purchase order review and validation, order booking, and responding to other various customer requests.
• Function as the backup for DMs when they are unavailable.
• Help coordinate and support regional workshops, open houses, training events, school/group visits, and sales meetings.
• Assist DMs by supporting various external and internal business meeting presentations, tours, and robot demonstrations.
• Provide hands-on “cobot” demonstrations for customers.
• Participate in end-user and Authorized System Integrators (ASI) visits and presentations, and support industry trade shows and customer events (open houses, technology transfers, internal showcases).
• Support DMs in establishing & maintaining relationships with key end-user customers and ASIs.
• Assist DMs with establishment of new customer accounts, as well as coordinating policy compliance requests and legal agreements.
• Actively participate in process improvement for sales efficiencies.
• Maintain strong robot product knowledge and keep up to date on FANUC product information and automation process solutions.
• Assist as needed in the resolution of aftermarket issues in cooperation with Customer Service.

What You Need

• Bachelor degree in engineering, marketing, or business-related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in a customer-facing role (customer service, inside sales, or sales support) within the automation and/or robotics industry.
• Knowledge of engineering and automation disciplines.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).

What Would Be Even Better

• Knowledgeable of robotics is a plus.
• Fundamental understanding of FANUC product catalog and applications.

FANUC America is seeking a qualified applicant for an Inside Sales and Support Specialist role. The pay range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year. The pay range listed is based on both salary and other compensation, including bonuses and profit sharing, that an employee may be paid during their employment with FANUC America.

A compensation package offered to a successful applicant will ultimately be determined by consideration of a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an applicant’s geographic location, educational attainment, and level of experience.
