Those in Oracle technology at PwC will focus on utilising and managing Oracle suite of software and technologies for various purposes within an organisation. You will be responsible for tasks such as installation, configuration, administration, development, and support of Oracle products and solutions.
Job & Summary The Oracle APEX Developer designs, develops, and supports secure, data‑driven web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX) and Oracle Database. The role focuses on building low‑code applications, reports, and dashboards that automate business processes, improve usability, and ensure data quality and performance.
*Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and translate them into application designs and APEX components.
Develop APEX applications: pages, forms, interactive reports/grids, charts, dashboards, and REST‑enabled modules.
Implement PL/SQL logic, dynamic actions, validations, authorizations, and process flows.
Design and optimize database objects (tables, views, packages, triggers, indexes).
Integrate APEX apps with REST/SOAP web services, external systems, and SSO/security frameworks.
Perform unit and system testing; support UAT and production deployment.
Optimize performance and usability; apply UI/UX best practices using templates, themes, CSS, and JavaScript when required.
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle APEX (recent versions).
Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills and solid understanding of relational data modelling.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery for customizing APEX apps.
Familiarity with RESTful services, JSON/XML, and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
Understanding ofsecurity concepts: authentication, authorization, roles, and data protection.
4-8+ years in Oracle development, including APEX projects.
Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills; ability to work with business users.
Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent; Oracle APEX or database certifications are a plus.
