We are seeking an experiencedJira Data Center / Atlassian Administrator with strong enterprise-level experience in managing, upgrading,optimizing, and supporting Atlassian tools hosted in on-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience withJira Data Center administration ,Jira Cloud administration , andJira Cloud migration preparation This role requires strong troubleshooting, automation, monitoring, and integration skills, along with a customer-focused mindset to support engineering teams and business users.

The candidate willbe responsible formanaging Atlassian tools, improving platform performance, implementing monitoring and alerting, supporting cloud migration initiatives, and building automation to enhance self-service capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage toolshostedon-premises and perform application-level upgrades.

  • Troubleshoot application issuesand proactivelyoptimizeapplication performance.

  • Perform regular system cleanup and maintenance activities.

  • Educate engineering teams on platform usage, standards, and best practices.

  • Create,maintain, and improve monitoring and alerting systems using New Relic  and Splunk

  • Expand self-service capabilities byidentifying, designing, and building tools and automation for users and administrators.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure support teams toensuresoftware and hardware are updated, patched, and secure.

  • Evaluate Atlassian Cloud  capabilities and prepare for upcoming Jira Cloud migration

  • Support enterprise-level integrations between Atlassian products and other engineering tools.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end technical challenges in an enterprise data center environment.

  • Communicate technical initiatives and platform changes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of Jira Data Center system administration experience atenterprise-scale environments.

  • 2+ years of Jira Cloud system administration experience atenterprise-scale environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud preparation and migration

  • Strong working knowledge of Atlassian products

  • Growing knowledge and passion for AI systems

  • Experience managing both front-end and back-end technical challenges in enterprise data center environments.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiencyin Red Hat Linux system administration

  • Programming and scripting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Java , scripting languages, Oracle , and SQL databases

  • Working knowledge of GitHub  and orchestration tools.

  • Experience with enterprise-level tool integrations, such as Jira and GitHub  integration.

  • Ability to create andmaintainmonitoring and alerting dashboards using New Relic  and Splunk

  • Strong customer support mindset.

  • Ability to communicate complex engineering initiatives to developers, administrators, and non-technical users.

Mandatory skill sets:

    • Exposure to Confluence Cloud

    • Experience with Confluence Cloud migration

    • Knowledge of AWS  or similar public cloud platforms.

    • Experience with automation and self-service tooling.

    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and enterprise engineering workflows.

Preferred skill sets:
