A career in our Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Our team helps our Financial Services clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. You’ll help our clients with their tax structuring while helping to address the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.

& Summary:

A career within Financial Services – Direct Tax (FPIs), where the role involves supporting complex advisory, compliance, and litigation assignments across tax and regulatory frameworks, while working closely with senior leadership on client engagements.

Responsibilities:

- Assist Associate Director in handling advisory and compliance engagements (tax/regulatory structuring, litigation support, funds, LLPs, trusts, etc.)

- Support matters relating to Income-tax, SEBI regulations, FEMA, Companies Act, NBFC, banking, insurance, AIFs, REITs/InvITs, and related laws

- Manage routine compliances including TDS returns, annual tax filings, and regulatory submissions

- Prepare submissions/appeals for tax authorities, DRP, CIT(A), ITAT, AAR, and higher courts

- Interpret international tax treaties and overseas tax regulations

- Coordinate for approvals, registrations, and licenses

- Assist in execution, planning, and review of client engagements

- Build client rapport and support delivery of high-quality work products

- Proactively update stakeholders on assignment progress

Mandatory skill sets:

- Strong knowledge of Income-tax laws, SEBI, FEMA, Companies Act, and regulatory frameworks

- Analytical and numerical ability

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

- Good understanding of financial markets and commercial aspects

Preferred skill sets:

- Exposure to Transfer Pricing

- Awareness of GST developments and industry impact

- Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

- Proficiency in MS Office, report writing, and presentations
