Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (RBAI) is a 100% subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH . Established in 2009, in Naganathapura - Bengaluru, RBAI is primarily focused in manufacturing electronic products for the automotive sector. RBAI has consistently added an average of one product every year resulting in a wide range of products comprising – Engine Control Units (ECU) for both 4W and 2W, Body Control Modules (BCM), ECUs for ABS, DC-DC Converters, iTraMS (Intelligent communication control unit) to name a few. RBAI also produces products for eMobility like MCU (Motor control Unit), C-Box (Communication Box), VCUs (Vehicle Control Unit), Central gateway modules and is geared up for other futuristic products. RBAI with its diverse portfolio, not only caters to local markets, but also exports products to all major global customers. Job Description

1. Ensure manufacturing process compliance with legal & safety requirements, engineering principles, customer requirements, Bosch standards and process specifications.
2. Pick & Place Programming & Process Optimization - Develop, validate, and optimize Pick & Place programs, NC data generation, machine setups, and placement parameters to ensure efficient SMT production.
3. New Product Introduction (NPI) & Engineering Change Management - Support new product launches and engineering changes through layout updates, component changes, depopulation activities, and placement/polarity validation.
4. Machine Setup, Industrialization & Technical Ownership - Manage machine installation, qualification, calibration, capability studies, feeder setup, nozzle configuration, fiducial teaching, and production release activities.
5. Technical Troubleshooting & Problem Solving - Provide second-level support for machine and process issues, perform root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and RCCA, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
6. SMT Line Optimization & Productivity Improvement - Drive cycle time reduction, line balancing, product allocation, bottleneck elimination, CPH improvement, and overall equipment utilization enhancement.
7. Cross-Plant Collaboration: Drive knowledge sharing and best-practice exchange with global Bosch entities as a CN representative
8. MES Integration, Digitalization & Traceability - Ensure seamless integration of Pick & Place equipment with MES systems to enable production control, traceability, and data-driven process improvements.
9. Knowledge on ESD standards for machines, materials, and fixtures & impact on ESD.
10. Responsible to convert the available data into usable data and visualize the data to define the actions

Qualifications

• B.E in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Mechatronics
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Automotive electronics manufacturing industry

Technical Competencies expected

• Pick & Place Process & Programming Expertise
• Hands-on expertise in SMT Pick & Place machines, preferably ASMPT and Panasonic
• Knowledge of SMT components, package characteristics, placement requirements, and feeder/nozzle selection
• Defect Analysis & Technical Troubleshooting
• NPI / ECR Implementation & Process Validation
• MES & Manufacturing Process Understanding
• Awareness on IPC Standards (IPC-A-610), ESD control (ANSI/ESD S20.20)
• IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 awareness (process control)
• Knowledge on Digitalization & Industry 4.0
