At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, an Inpatient Wound Care RN plays a critical role in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex wounds. This includes pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and other skin integrity issues. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing and prevent complications, while advancing expertise in wound care through professional development and certification.
This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training for Inpatient Wound Care nursing. Candidates must be enrolled in WOCN coursework or be able to certify within 24 months of hire. Resumes must clearly reflect the WOCN certification or ability to certify. This nurse must also be able to function independently in the Inpatient setting and medical-surgical service lines.
