Brown University Health has openings for board certified or eligible psychiatrists interested in working in an inpatient setting. Working at Morton or St. Anne’s Hospital, you will treat patients with a variety of mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and psychosis. Our programs encompass a comprehensive view of mental health that includes and integrates the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of care.
About the Position:
Supervising providers of 16-bed inpatient unit (St. Anne’s), 19-bed inpatient unit (Morton), plus cross coverage
Treat patients aged 55+
Unit accepts elderly patients depending on functional status
Mix of diagnoses: psychotic disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, co-occurring substance use disorders
Inpatient behavioral health team includes NP, nurses, psych techs, social workers, and recreation therapist
Participation in call is voluntary with additional compensation
20% protected admin time, 80% clinical time
