
The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Hospital is currently hiring an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Certified to join our Team.
This position will give you a lot of variety in your work each week. You will assist with filling automated dispensing cabinets and delivering medications to various units within the hospital. You will have the opportunity to perform IV Sterile Compounding Bulk Packaging and assist with Medical Storage. This is a customer facing position where you will answer questions from various medical staff members and process requests.

The Work:
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist performs all accountabilities associated with compounding dispensing charging and delivery of medications to the patient.
All medications are checked for accuracy by a pharmacist per the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy prior to leaving the Department of Pharmacy.
Pick, fill and deliver medication orders and Omnicell stock to appropriate locations
Prepack drugs and compound medications including sterile products, chemotherapy, and special dosage forms (topicals, oral liquids, etc.)
Assist with maintaining stock supplies in pharmacy department as needed
Answer the phone/ front window, and assist with questions and requests
Attend all department and technician meetings
Certified vaccine pharmacy technicians may administer vaccines to patients under the supervision of a pharmacist
We are seeking a customer focused professional with a passion for healthcare. To be successful, you must enjoy repetitive work and be detailed oriented. This position will require you to work on your feet most of your shift and work autonomously. Pharmacy Tech experience is preferred, but not required.
