The Innovation Specialist supports the Risk Management Division's Innovation and Continuous Improvement agenda by identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance operational effectiveness and foster a culture of innovation. The role works across the Division to drive sustainable improvements and embed continuous improvement practices into day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the development and execution of the Division's innovation and continuous improvement strategy.
  • Identify process optimisation opportunities through stakeholder engagement, process reviews, data analysis and performance assessments.
  • Facilitate innovation workshops, ideation sessions and problem-solving forums to generate and evaluate improvement ideas.
  • Support the implementation of process improvement, automation and efficiency initiatives across the Division.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies and frameworks to improve business processes, controls and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain mechanisms for benefits tracking, performance measurement and sustainability of improvement outcomes.
  • Support innovation governance and portfolio reporting, including preparation of updates for management committees.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of innovation and continuous improvement practices through communications, training and engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with business, technology and support functions to drive implementation of approved initiatives.
  • Act as a catalyst for cultural change by encouraging innovative thinking, experimentation and continuous learning across the Division.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in innovation, business transformation, process improvement, operational excellence or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, process reviews and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Strong project coordination and execution skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience within banking, financial services, risk management or regulated environments will be advantageous.
  • Proactive, innovative and results-oriented individual with a strong passion for driving change and continuous improvement.
