The opportunity
This role sits withinthe fast-paced and innovativeEmergingTechnologyteam, supporting hands-on development of prototypes, pilots and scalable software solutions across AI, machine learning, cloud,roboticsand modern software engineering.
You will work in a team focused on experimentation, practicaldeliveryand responsible innovation, helping turn promising ideas into technology that improves services and experiences across the University.
Whatyou’lldo
Design, build and test software solutions across AI, ML,cloudandIoT
Write clean,scalableand secure code across modern development environments.
Support prototypes, pilots and proof-of-concepts through testing and refinement.
Integrate solutions with data pipelines, analyticstoolsand existing platforms.
Collaborate with ICT teams to improve software quality,performanceand delivery.
Whatwe’relooking for
3–5 years’experience developing end-to-end software solutions, ideally with emerging technologies(AI, ML, cloud)
Proficiencyin coding and software development practices, including using languages such asPython, Java, JavaScript, React, C# or similar.
Exposureto cloud environments, CI/CDand agile development practices.
Strong problem-solving,debuggingand prototyping capability.
Curiosity, adaptability and a thoughtful approach to security,privacyand risk.
