Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

Responsibilities:
A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.
Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You’ll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.
Advisory
Advice on classification, valuation, applicability of taxes on transactions and admissibility to tax benefits/exemptions
Opinions on other indirect tax issues
Providing innovative but rigorous tax planning ideas
Indirect Tax Reviews / Health Checks /Due Diligence Reviews
Undertaking comprehensive reviews of business operations to identify tax planning opportunities as well as compliance gaps
Conducting detailed indirect tax due diligence reviews (buy side / sell side)
Compliance Support and Outsourcing
Indirect tax compliance support/ outsourcing on an all India basis
Preparation of customised compliance manuals on all indirect taxes
Provision of complete support for customs SVB proceedings
Litigation support
Drafting replies to notices and Drafting appeals and submissions
Appearances and arguments before adjudication and appellate authorities up to the Tribunal
Appearance and arguments before anti-dumping authorities
Briefing of Senior Counsel
General
Undertaking marketing for assignments
Leading client relationship

Mandatory skill sets:
Working in this discipline will see aAssistant Manager working on engagements and teams (the sizes of which will vary depending on client/project).
To qualify for the same anAssistant Managerwill need:
To be a Qualified Chartered Accountantor Lawyerwithrelevant exposure and 5-7 years of experience.
Primary exposure should be on indirect tax matters.
Additional qualification of Company Secretary (CS) would be an added advantage
