Job Description

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Develop and execute the Inland mining sales strategy, growing volume, revenue and gross margin across mining houses and mining contractors.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Mining Sales team, setting clear targets, account responsibilities and performance standards, with regular coaching in the field.
  • Win new business and protect and grow strategic key accounts through structured retention plans and strong relationships with procurement, engineering, maintenance and site management.
  • Lead tenders, RFQs and contract negotiations, and protect contract margins through disciplined pricing, timely price adjustments, accurate forecasting and debtor control.
  • Drive value-based selling with Application Engineering and Product Management, including lubrication surveys, product trials, condition monitoring and site support, while maintaining strict SHEQ and mine-site compliance.

Qualifications and Skills we are looking for:

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Mining or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, preferred. A commercial qualification combined with strong technical experience in mining lubricants or equipment will also be considered.
  • Minimum 8 years’ sales experience, including at least 5 years in technical B2B sales to the mining industry.
  • Proven record of winning and managing multi-year mining supply contracts, including tender preparation, contract pricing and margin protection.
  • Working technical knowledge of mining equipment and maintenance.
  • Leadership skills evident, with a track record of coaching sales people while personally managing strategic accounts.
