Job Category: ManufacturingThe purpose of this position is to control the ink inputs to the printing process. The main objective is to deliver “Press Ready” inks to the presses in a way that makes the inks trouble free. Additionally, this position requires strict adherence to all health and safety regulations regarding hazardous waste.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and inventory inks.
- Perform ink draw down tests to ensure color correctness.
- Adjust ink viscosity’s and strength and stage ready inks for each press.
- Closely manage ink returns and restocking.
- Prepare waste inks and solvents for disposal maintaining proper records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Problem Solving:  Be pro-active in recognizing/defining and resolving problems.
- Communication:  Utilize effective communication methods through reports and training sessions.
- Planning:  Prioritize routine tasks, duties and assignments.

Qualifications
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of how to apply color theory in preparing inks for use.
- Ability to manage ink and solvent inventories.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Prior pre-press experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
