The Injection Mold Technician/Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of injection molding equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role monitors manufacturing processes, supports equipment reliability, and maintains compliance with company quality and safety standards.

Basic Employee Responsibilities

Position Specific Responsibilities
• Perform setup, startup, troubleshooting, and process adjustments on injection molding presses, auxiliary equipment, and secondary production equipment while ensuring compliance with all safety and quality requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and process parameters to maintain product quality and optimize production efficiency.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, equipment inspections, and minor repairs on molding presses and related production equipment.
• Diagnose equipment and process issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards through regular inspections and monitoring activities.
• Accurately complete and maintain production and quality documentation, including downtime, scrap, repairs, deviations, and production records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment in accordance with company standards.
• Support production requirements by assisting team members and performing additional duties as assigned.
• Follow all company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Report and document any nonconforming product in accordance with NCR policies and procedures.
Required Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a pump shop, machine shop, or mechanical assembly environment preferred.
• Familiarity with pump components, downhole equipment, or precision mechanical parts is an asset.
• Previous injection molding setup and operation experience is highly preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment in a production environment is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of sucker rod manufacturing processes is an asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Physical Demands
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 65 lbs.
• Ability to work 8- 10 hour shifts.
• Exposure to elevated temperatures, moderate noise levels, and production equipment.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and use required tools.
• Must be able to wear and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
