
Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide great and hospitable reception assistance to individuals who come and visit the new Ingram Honors College building, ensure visitors are directed to their appropriate destination, and address visitors’ questions.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
Welcome students and all visitors by greeting them in-person, on the phone, or via email.
Assist with managing the general office phone line and the general honors email account, including sending and responding to emails, addressing questions from students, parents, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders, calling and returning phone calls, and maintaining communication with current as well as prospective honors students.
Provide information to students and other visitors inquiring about the Ingram Honors College, Global Studies, its resources and benefits, as well as college’s signature programs.
Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring reservations, assisting, and assuring students are checking in and out properly.
Assist honors students with the scheduling platform to book study rooms and study pods in the building.
Maintain the reception area clean and organized by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Ensure the return of checked-out equipment and/or technology.
Assist with building inventory and ensuring that the honors spaces are clean, organized, and tidy.
Restock on print and promo materials as well as community snacks in the designated areas.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be an actively enrolled Honors College student in good academic standing.
Strong verbal and digital/written communication skills.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Strong customer focus and listening.
Must be professional and handle pressure well.
Possess strong ethics and integrity.
Must be willing to commit to 10-20 hours/week.
Must be able to work in 4+ hour shifts or have flexibility with hours.
Experience/Education:

Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
